The children and teachers at the basic school in the village of Rez, near Prague, have helped to build an educational trail for local residents and visitors. The project is part of the Schools for Sustainable Development Program which was initiated by the Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation and the Centre for Environmental Education (SEVER) in collaboration with Toyota.

The new trail was officially opened to the public on 14 May. The ceremony was attended by Tsutomu Otsubo, President of Toyota Motor Czech, and Katerina Jouglickova from Toyota Motor Czech’s Public Relations department.
The volunteers helped to install seven wooden tables along the trail. The tables contain information for visitors about the natural and cultural heritage of the Vltava river valley. Despite the rocky terrain, the work was completed quickly. Organisers attributed the speedy finish to the enthusiasm and camaraderie of the volunteers who were aided by some nice weather.
