On 26 August 2010, the Icelandic city of Kopavogur presented its annual environmental awards. Toyota Iceland was recognised in the category of Best Contribution to the Environment for its work on a number of different projects including the Toyota Woodland and Clean the Coastline. The award also acknowledges the work Toyota Iceland undertook to certify its operations to the ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Standard and the ongoing efforts to maintain the standard.
