Schools for Sustainable Development Conference to be Held in Poland

The Environmental Partnership Foundation has announced details of the 8th annual Schools for Sustainable Development (SSD) Conference which will be held in Wroclaw, Poland on 7 September. The conference will be attended by more than 100 teachers, national and international guests, as well as representatives from the Polish Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Education, Toyota, Cadbury and regional NGOs. The event will provide participants with an opportunity to exchange experiences and share environmental knowledge.

An award ceremony will be held during the SSD Conference to recognise the schools that are most actively engaged in environmental activities in Poland. Certificates will also be presented to teachers who are regional leaders in their schools.

SSD enables schools to implement practical improvements in their neighbourhoods. The programme is supported by the Toyota Fund for Europe and operates in the Czech Republic, Poland and the United Kingdom.
