WWF Roadshow Visits Serbia

The WWF Climate Roadshow visited Serbia for the first time in 2008. More than 5,000 people attended events in the cities of Belgrade, Nis, Novi Sad and Subotica during the roadshow. One of the most important visitors in Belgrade was the Serbian Minister for Environment and Spatial Planning, Oliver Dulić.

The next Roadshow in 2009, from 9-12 July, visited Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis, focussed on water availability using the slogan “Ajmo ljudi, jos malo pa nestalo!” (C’mon people, just a little more and it’s gone!). Events were tailored to make people consider what could happen if climate change causes the glaciers to melt.

All visitors to the Roadshow were invited to go into the video cabin and read one line of a story to camera. These clips will be merged to produce a video of the complete text which will be shown on Serbian television in the future.
