The Toyota Parts Centre Europe (TPCE) has undertaken a number of activities during 2010 in support of local NGO, Natuurpunt. The latest event was a Family Day which was held on 21 November 2010 near the TPCE facility in Diest, Belgium. The 42 participants undertook a hiking and mountain bike tour with guides from Natuurpunt. A donation of €500 was made to Natuurpunt’s Bekkevoort branch which will utilise the funds to help endangered species to survive the winter months.
During 2010, TPCE assisted Natuurpunt with a publicity campaign to promote biodiversity in the Diest area. TPCE also donated half the cost of a walk-behind tractor that Natuurpunt will utilise in its work. The tractor can also be utilised by other NGOs in Diest at no cost.
Natuurpunt (Nature Point) is a volunteer organisation which aims to protect the unique forest, heath, dune, valley and polder landscapes of Flanders, Belgium.
