TMMT has recently launched it’s Toyota Technical Education Project (TOYTEP), supporting the Sakarya Technical High School and the Fatih Technical High School. The program consists of a 3-tiered approach:
- Management training
- Laboratory support
- Student training
An opening ceremony was held in Sakarya on the 12th of April 2011, at which local authorities and the local media were invited. This day marked the start of the first step: management training.
The TMMT HR Development manager provided a training on the topics of “Toyota Management Philosophy”, “Toyota Problem Solving Methodology” and “TPS, Kaizen & Quality Circles”. These trainings have now been provided to 125 managers and teachers of the Sakarya Technical High School.
Currently the Laboratory support is ongoing. This training ensures the technical schools have state-of-the art equipment for the technical students, provided for different workshops.
The student training activity will start in September, at the start of the school year.
