On October 20th 2011, Toyota France kicked off it's country wide tree planting activity "Plus d’arbres, plus de vie !" ("More trees, more life!)
The first planting activity took place at Franconville, with the help of Toyota Sivam Deuil-la-Barre (a local Toyota retailer). Exactly 150 trees were planted by children of a local school. Representatives of the municipality of Franconville, Paris region and Toyota customers volunteering were also present to celebrate the start of events.
To mark the International Year of Forests 2011, Toyota France has formed a partnership for local actions with the Foundation for Environmental Education in France, France Bois Forêt and Nathan publisher to launch the "Plus d’arbres, plus de vie !" project for 100 of its Toyota & Lexus retailers.
Toyota France has invited retailers, customers with eco-schools and representative of the participating municipalities to help planting trees under this project. Most planting activities will take from November 2011 to spring 2012.
Next planting activity will take place Saturday 19th of November 2011 close to Pontarlier in the East of France.
