Toyota Fund for Europe Calls for Applications

The Toyota Fund for Europe (TFfE) has called on non-profit organisations to submit applications for its 2009 grant programme to support grass roots community projects. TFfE provides assistance for projects in the areas of road safety, technical education and environmental improvement. In 2008, fifteen projects were selected to receive more than €1 million in assistance.

Organisations that wish to be considered for the 2009 allocation of funds must notify TFfE of their intention to submit an application by 24 July 2009, by sending an e-mail. Full applications must be received by 18 September and will be considered at the meeting of the TFfE Board on 20 October 2009.

Toyota Motor Europe (TME) established the Toyota Fund for Europe in 2002 to lead and partner with non-profit organisations on community activities that support the environment, technical education and road safety. Since its establishment, the fund has approved 119 grants across 60 projects, representing a total of €7 million in financial support. In 2008, 77% of grants were allocated to environmental projects, 20% to road safety projects and 3% to technical education projects.
