Toyota España (TES) held its third annual reforestation day on 21 November 2010. Events were held in 14 cities and regions across Spain. More than 8,000 people attended the events including Toyota customers and dealers, employees from TES, local government staff and dignitaries, NGOs and members of the public. Many thousands of trees were planted on the day.
Planning for the event began early this year with a teaser campaign and the launch of the website habiaunavezunbosque.com. The project team also established a project page on Facebook. Almost 50,000 people have visited the website and the project now has almost 1,000 supporters on Facebook.
A photography competition was also run in conjunction with the Reforestation Day. Participants have been invited to submit photographs in the following categories:
1. The Strength of Nature: for images that show how trees have survived the actions of mankind.
2. Reforestation Day: for images taken on the Reforestation Day.
