Mr Liberadski congratulated the students for their impressive works on improving road infrastructure safety in their own countries; Mr Collino stressed the effectiveness of the R2R project to raise awareness on the importance of road safety among civil engineers as future responsible for building and designing new roads; Mr. Koch showed great admiration for the campaign run by the German student who managed to have his high risk site treated in less than one year.
Mr Liberadski, Mr Collino and Mr Koch, together with Mr Antonio Avenoso thanked Toyota and 3M, sponsors of the R2R project, for their invaluable support to this initiative.
After receiving their awards, the three R2R winners presented their campaigns to improve road infrastructure in their home countries. At the Ceremony Award, there were also the students attending the R2R 2010 Camp, who could share the successful experiences from last year students and get inspired by their campaign. The presentations from the R2R 2009 students will be very soon available at ETSC's website.
