The activity, which took place on 22nd of October (Saturday), was attended by over 100 volunteers.
TMIP President Mr. Taku Yamamoto, during a short speech, thanked all participants and in a few sentences presented the importance of environmental protection and environmental education. After Mr. Yamamoto’s speech, the volunteers - equipped with gloves and bags for waste collection – started the cleaning work. After just 1.5 hours, about 160 kg of waste had been collected.
There was also - like in previous years – a tree planting activity. Since 2007, more than 600 young trees have been planted at or near TMIP’s premises. This year, four Japanese cherry trees were planted.
The International action "Clean Up the World" is organized every year. TMIP participates in order to enhance environmental awareness among employees, their families and friends.
