Run for Africa
Since 2005, Toyota Motor Europe (TME) has supported its employees who wish to take part in the Brussels 20 km Run as part of the Vredeseilanden ‘Run for Africa’ team. Vredeseilanden is a non-profit organisation which helps family farmers in Asia, Latin America and Africa to achieve a viable livelihood.
Employees ask their family and friends to sponsor them, raising money for each kilometre run or for completing the event. Since 2005, the total amount raised by the employees has been matched by TME, euro for euro.
In 2010, the TME employees raised€4,034.73 which was matched by TME. Total support for Vredeseilanden has amounted to€30,152 since 2005.
