How to Apply for Support

You can apply for two different types of financial support:

  • TFfE funding which is provided to projects that operate, or have the potential to operate, across more than one European country.
  • Local support which is provided to projects with

When should you apply for TFfE support?

You can apply any time during the year but the TFfE Board only selects projects in October. To ensure there is time to consider your application we advise you to submit your proposal as soon as possible. The exact date of the next Board meeting will be posted on this website as soon as it is available.

Making a successful application

To make a successful application for assistance from TFfE you must:

1. Find out if you are eligible
2. Send your intention of submission
3. Complete and submit your application form
4. Wait for the response after the October Board meeting.

Step 1: Are you eligible?
Download the TFfE Funding Guidelines to check if your organisation and your project are eligible for support.

Step 2: Send your intention of submission
Once you know that you are eligible, send a simple e-mail to toyotafund@toyota-europe.com, stating your intention to submit a proposal. In 2009, intentions of submission must be received by 24 July to be considered during the October meeting.

Step 3: Complete and submit your application form
Download and complete the application form. It is important that this application form is completed as accurately as possible. Don’t forget that the Board selects projects in October. We must receive your application at least one month before the board meeting date. In 2009, application forms must be submitted by 18 September for consideration in October.

Step 4: Wait for the Board’s response
The TFfE Board evaluates the applications each October and sends the results by e-mail two weeks after they meet. The successful proposals are also announced on the homepage of this site. If your application is unsuccessful, you can always apply again next year.

What happens when you receive your TFfE funding?

Toyota operates a monitoring policy and requires you to submit an interim report halfway through the project. A final report is made after the project is completed. The report summarises the project outcomes and highlights the results.

How to apply for a local financial support

Each local Toyota company also operates its own fund to support local projects. Your proposal will be assessed by the local body, following its specific selection criteria. You can apply for assistance at any time during the year. Go to Find your local Toyota contact to locate your nearest Toyota company and obtain more information.
